This post by Coco Piper is a good description of our day in Gyongyospata.  She has also captured the sense of “riches” that many of us seemed to feel that day.  I’m so thankful for the many blessings I have.  Yes, I’m thankful for the material blessings, but the lesson in Gyongyospata for me is that the blessings of family, community, a sense of meaning and purpose, heritage, music, art, and other things are so much more important.  Furthermore, many of them can be enjoyed in the midst of some of the deepest poverty I’ve ever seen.
